ya...odd question. Why do you say that? Although I am a little skeptical to say I am a Christian, as I am more a seeker of truth. Which I have found Jesus but there are a lot of perceptions as christians that I am not. Therefore, I am not afraid to say I am a Christian, in fact I do all the time, although that, to me, is not a proper description of what I believe.

I live in America, a country owned and run by Christians. I'd be more afraid to say I'm NOT a Christian.

The only fear I would have is that someone might think that I was a Baptist , catholic , Holy ghoster , Jehovas witness , or some orher cult. Otherwise I LOVE JESUS.
