Robert-Robby-Bobby
In Most languages, a W is more like a V or B, so
William-Villiam-Billiam-Bill-Billy
And CH is more like CK, so
Richard-Rickard-Rick-Dick

Margaret-Mahgaret-Marge or Meg-Peg-Peggy

Peggy for Margaret comes from Peg, which rhymes with Meg, which is short for Margaret.
I suspect Bobby came about in a similar way (Robert - Rob - Bob).
I don't know about the others, but I'll be watching the answers here to see what others say.
