YES , I did , it is better than the underlay, warmer, quieter, and fills the unevenness of the floor.
but not on thick pills.
if there is already a carpet underlay, then remove the carpet and only use the underlay beneath.

i wouldn't recommend you use carpet plenty of cheap underlays for laminate flooring available and make sure you got a nice level surface to lay it on

Okay...I can see where the idea might appear to have merit. However, it does not. Use the proper underlay for the flooring to be installed and you will be continuously glad you did.

NO not really,if you do you will probably have to shorten your doors in order for them to close.It would be easier to buy the proper underlay.

I did, but it has to be a very small pile carpet nd also make sure it's clean and not too old as it could get a bit smelly if you have any spillages.

No, I would recommend that you use either fibreboard or combi unisound.
don't but cheap laminate either, as you will notice the difference within months, the joints, how it wears.
