I'm totally redecorating my room and house with everything because our house looks like a total mess ...even before we moved in here.I want to go to Wal-mart to buy a lot of things...such as curtains, pillows, lamp, posers, wall boarders, house and bathromm cleaning products,

but I know she doesnt want me to buy all those things...but I'm just trying to make our house feel and be cleaner. I didnt ask her yet but I know she will say no. How can I buy these things without her permission???? Our house is a total mess...like one of those houses yu see on t.v. that need a makeover. Should I buy these things without her knowing and then suprise her? She will be happy thatI cleaned that whole entire house and its a total makeover and me and my siblings are helping the house too.

A. should we suprise her?

B.How do I buy these things without her knowing because she proably does nto want me to buy these things without her permission?

C. I have my own money LOL ^_^

It's great that you care about how your house looks.

Why not try this:

You mentioned that your house was dirty/cluttered. Why not clean it really really well. Make it look as good as it possibly can without redecorating. I am sure your mother will be THRILLED with this and will be in a very receptive mood to any further suggestions you have about decorating.

But if that happens please try somewhere....ANYWHERE other than WalMart. WalMart decor is what gets you on TV for a home makeover.

I think if you and your siblings are really wanting to do this than you should get together a make a plan. Maybe even draw up a proposal for your mother to see what it is exactly you and your siblings are trying to do. Tell her how you all plan to go about getting the materials you need to do this project. You could even say dedicate a day to her for her to go and take care of errands or just get out of the house for awhile. Tell her you would like to do something just for her that day and if she likes it then you keep the new look. If not, then at least you guys will have a clean place that you like until you, your siblings, and your mom can come to an agreement on what to do. In the mean time redecorate your room to kind of show your mom your fashion sense and you interior decor skills. Any little thing you can do around the house that to you improves it so this way you are showing her what you can do and that you are serious about it.

That's hard...

I think I would surprise her with something small first(like the bathroom or organizing the hall closet)... gauge her reaction to that... then go from there. First and foremost, get the house clean and organized... then if you want to redecorate then fine. Take it from me... it is a tough job doing 1 room in a weekend (with 4 people working non-stop).

She might be telling you not to buy the stuff because x-mas is coming up soon.

She is your mother. Respect her wish. Maybe she would like it better if you just cleaned up the house. Instead of doing a complete redecoration of the house, maybe you should ask and consider what she would want too, whether or not she would like some redecorating. If she likes the idea, make part of the house the way she would like it.

What makes you think your mom doesn't want you buy those things? If my kids did that for me I would be really happy. Anyway if you think she'll be upset, buy the stuff, do what you want and tell your mom it's an early Christmas present.
