I think that if your son wants to sleep naked then you should let him. Its not going to make him a bad person. It might even make him sleep more comfortably. Or after he tries it, he might change his mind. Before he goes to bed he can take his pajamas off and put them next to his bed then when he wakes up he can put his pajamas back on. : )

Your son is most likely trying to emulate his father - which is a great thing!
Let him sleep naked. Put his PJ's on after his bath, and let him take them off when he climbs into bed. Explain to him that just the way Daddy doesn't walk around the house naked, he has to put his Pj's on in the morning before he comes out of his room.
Sleeping naked will probably feel really nice for him - in fact, your body regulates temperature much better when not restricted or smothered by clothing.
And as long as he knows that when he sleeps over at a friends house, he has to wear his pj's.

I don't see any problem with it as long as your son is required to put on clothes when females or guests are present in the room. My husband has slept naked since he was 12 and now he's 23. His mom just always had him make sure his door was shut and he had to put on something when he got up in the morning and he never slept naked if there were relatives or guests staying the night. He may change his mind after a few nights, he may not, but don't discourage him. It's not like he's doing anything wrong.

You dont want him to feel ashamed of his body. If sleeping nude is a practice at home then tell him that he can when he goes to bed and before coming from his room in the morning, get dressed. Also remind him that he can not sleep nude in the homes of others because he does not want to disrepect their home. When he has company over, he should wear pj's. When he is home and no one is there and he wants to sleep nude, it should be fine. That present it as a problem so that he feels like he's doing something wrong. Be honest about how you feel when you speak to him and let him say how he feels, starting a long line of open communication. You all decide as a family. Good Luck.
