It is 5 months old and we thought she was a girl so we named her a girls name. Now we're not sure because she chirps a lot and it looks like her cheeks are getting more and more red. Should we name her a boy name, girl name, or a boy and girl name?

It really doesn't matter if you keep the same name. I try to give mine names that can be used for either sex but one I adopted is called Rasputin and she's a girl. We just call her Raspie to make it sound a little more feminine.

Name the bird whatever you want. My birds are Trinket and Charley. They were named that even when I thought they girls. Then I found out they were boys. Well, then Charley was an even better name.

it does not matter what name you give your bird as long as the bird responds to that name.
Cockateils are notoriously difficult to sex and unless you know for sure it is one sex or the other, the name it has had for five months is just fine.
