So many people have "answered" my questions without answering the question. It's like they read half the question or title, and start finding a way to treat you like crap. If you don't have knowledge of the subject, then answer a question that you do. some people on here, I wonder if they have any knowledge at all.

I've wondered this same thing! I think it's because the world is full of angry bitter people and here they can be jerks and no one is in their face calling them on it. If they acted this way at work or among their friends they wouldn't have any....
Mmmmm..... Maybe Answers needs a way for people to pick the stupidest or the rudest answer? The person looses 5 points?

I understand how you feel. I get insulted on here left and right. I have been called lazy, a be-atch, selfish, and told to kill myself over nothing. I am looking for real advice and all I seem to find are real jerks. It gets so tiring, frustrating, and discouraging. It has kept me from asking some questions I want to ask because I am afraid of what people will say. No one knows anyone on here or their whole situation yet they are so quick to judge. That is why when I see someone mistreating another user I report them. The other day a teenage girl asked if she weighed to much for her height and if people thought that meant she was fat. I could not believe when one lady told her she was fat. I sent her an email telling her she should be ashamed of herself for doing that to a child's self esteem. It disgusts me. When I answer questions I answer them to the best of my knowledge and with compassion. When a jerk answers my questions rudely I click on his name and go to his/her questions and answer them just as rudely but I am sure to let the other lookers know why I am doing this. Immature? Yes. But sweet, lol. I also email people who have the option to tell them how I feel about what they said. People who assume are ridiculous and a lot of people on yahoo answers are obnoxious and immature. You don't have to worry about my answers ok. They will always be honest. Take care.

You can figure, they're answering for the 2 points, and have sad little lives of their own, so they feel better by slamming you. No reason for it otherwise. There is an upper level guy who answers all the time in P&S by saying, don't know or I don't or something, it's how he got to 7th or better. I saw an answer where the question was what pets do you have. His answer was, I don't have pets. So why answer the question? Just for the 2 points!

They are bored and have nothing better to do than annoy other people. It is their way of "proving" that they can answer a question, remember that you get points for answering even if the answer is not relevant to the question. or they just like to treat other people like crap and have no life of their own... hope this answer helps!

Sometimes people feel that you could answer the question yourself if you just gave it some thought. Of course there are people who feel that they can pull themselves up while holding someone else down. I would like to know why you resorted to criticizing the people on this site at the end of your question? You nullified the validity of your quetion by lowering yourself to same level.

its diffecult.
it may not be others.
if you come across as too confident, then people will always try to put you down.
if you are not confident enough though, them as a matter of coarse the same thing will happen.
we are all self obsorbed and will do all we can to be respected.
we are also very opinionated.
some will do this at your expence but only if you allow them to bother you, will they gain anything.
shrug it off, it cant affect you unless you let it.

They're probably cynics who feel unfullfilled in their own lives. No decent person should have to put down others just to feel good about themselves.

some times people take the qustion differently they see it in a different view than others.and so you get two different answers i hope that made sence to you but it just my vew of your question.
