Isn't is arrogant, by which I mean over estimating our own importance, to believe that God is taking a personal interest in each and every one of us?

What do you think makes each of us so important in the Grand Scheme of things?

Aren't you just a bit embarassed to bother Him in prayer about your own personal problems when he has a whole universe to run?

Student, I am not a kid any more and kids are entitled to be selfish because they aren't old enough to know better yet.

question #1: I believe in sending Jesus to live among us, God showed his personal interest. Jesus healed sick people, reached out to those most ostracized in society and had dinner with them. His first miracle was turning water into wine, seemingly a minor concern within the entire universe. To me, that shows that God is interested in the interworkings of our lives because he loves us.

question #2: I don't think it's so much that we are all so important, but that we are all here for a reason and all a part of the "grand scheme." Since we don't know what the "grand scheme" is we have to keep playing along, trying to be our best because we never know who we influence, who we impact, what role we are playing.

question #3: I am not embarassed to pray. I do believe that God knows us better than ourselves and consequently already knows what's on our minds. Prayer is communication with God, it's not simply telling him what you'd like, like sitting down with Old St. Nick. I find that in prayer I'm often simply sorting things out in my own mind by trying to organize my feelings to express them to God.

In the end, God loves us, and loves unconditionally. Most people wouldn't ignore the needs of their child because they had more important things to deal with (work, finances, etc). They would spend time with their child and listen to their silly stories because they love their child.

Why did God send Jesus? He loved us so much that He sent His own Son to die for our sins. I'd say that's showing a personal interest in us. God also gave us the Bible to show in writing how much He loves us and invites us to communicate with Him. God is powerful enough to "run the whole universe" and at the same time listen to my little prayer. I used to laugh at Christians who pray over things like a sore toe or other "insignificant" things. I don't anymore because I have become one of them.

No im not embarrassed to speak to Him in prayer. That is not bothering Him. God loves to have relationships with us. He encourages it. We should spend time with God everday. Just going to church is not going to do anything. God does has a plan for each and everyone of us. He has a plan for us all. He does take a special liking in us all. He chooses people to be saved. We cant sve ourselves. God chooses the person so that then we can help others to believe in Him.

He wants to hear our problems. So that He can help us. What are u talking about????????? God want us to put all out problems to him. Why wouldn't he? He is the one that knows us personally. Every thought we have, every feeling we have. He knows our hearts so perfectly. So why would he not want us to confess out problems. He already knows us, but to hear that we want to tell him our close and personaly thigns makes Him even happier. He enjoys to have us trust in Him. Why can't u understand that?

I dont know, where you a little embaressed to ask your parents for help when you were a kid, I mean after all, they are trying to run the house.
Even the kids of kings and queens, I am sure, asked their parents questions, and were not one bit embarresed.
Nothing makes us so important in the grand scheme of things, that is what makes it so amazing that He does care and listen.
Or at least, thats my opinion. Feel free to differ.

God's plan is already laid out in the Bible, All we have to do is follow it's principle teachings. As to taking a personal interest in each of us, as you said, God has a universe to run...That, I believe, is Jesus' job, for personal intervention before God's wrath. Believe in God, but pray to Jesus. "For no man may get to the father except through Me".

God invented the universe to be self-running.
He is off creating other universes now. You are on your own.
He made you a creator too , so create!

If God can be all powerful, omnipotent, omnipresent, create and order the universe and everything in it that has ever been and ever will be, is not bound by the laws of time and space, and is as all loving and caring as he claims to be then...

Nope.

because the bible tells us that he cares for us, and God is Love, we may only be little insignificant in other peoples eyes but the scriptures say that even a sparrow doesn't fall to the ground without him knowing, aren't we worth more than sparrows
