Should I get out of it?

Me and my boyfriend have been accepted to sing one of our songs in front of an audience. My boyfriend not shy at all but I am. It's to late to give the part to someone else. Should I just call and say I have a cold or something or should I go through with it.

Go through with it. I used to be almost pathologically shy myself, but I overcame it, mainly by taking Speech lasses and by volunteering for school plays.
Hey, believe it or not - you just might find, once you get up there, that you actually LIKE it (but that may take a little while.)

You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. If your boyfriend thinks you can sing, then trust his judgement. I'm sure he doesn't want to risk making a fool of himself. Before you get on that stage, imagine you are alone in a shower. Look over the audiences heads, and give all you've got.

I f you commited to doing the duet, then of course you should go through with it. Just focus on him when possible, and when looking at the audience focus on the back wall. It helps trust me.

You should definitely go for it! Hold your guy's hand when you sing! Sing with your eyes closed, that's what Barbra Streisand does. She claims to still get stage fright.

do it. see what happens. don't even think about it. it's good to just go ahead and go through with it. then you know if you can do it or not, and if you can't, just take deep breaths. GOOD LUCK! i'm sure you wouldn't have been asked unless you can actually sing, so i'm sure you can do great!

just go thru with it don't look at the audience just your boyfriend you will be nervous at fist but it will go away and you might enjoy your self
