i say go to texas and speak to the ppl (i currently live in texas from ny) one of my fav phrases is u cant get there from here

Try watching a lot of old episodes of "Dallas" or listening to loads of Country-Western music interpreted specifically by Texan recording artists.

just watch a bunch of movies that have some or all the people that have a texan accent. for instance: Miss Congeniality.
