Ever since we got him at 7 weeks, he has slept with us in our bed. Well, last night he was WAY too hyper and biting and playing non stop, so we kicked him out and made him sleep in the living room on the couch. He didn't whine much, just a little. BUT, this morning when I opened our bedroom door, there was a nice big stinky present left, right outside our bedroom door. And as I'm cleaning it up, I keep saying "bad bad boy!" and point at him, well you could tell he knew he was in trouble because his tail was between his legs and he was peeking around the cornerall hunkered down on the floor, (but I SWEAR he was smiling, lol). Did he do this because he was angry with us or what?

Giving a new puppy parent advice is like giving a parent of human children advice - no one really responds well to the advice.
I'm assuming he is potty trained - if so how did you potty train him?
Crate training is the best thing any puppy parent can do. First it gives the puppy his very own place. Dogs are den animals and even if it seems mean that you are putting them in this small space - they will learn this is theres and use it when they are ascared or just want some quiet time. I kept my puppy in a crate until she was 1. She knew when she went in the crate it was night night time. I NEVER used the crate as punishment.
So to answer your question - of course he did it because he was angry. Puppies act out just like kids do. Next time it might not be a smelling surprise but your favorite pillow on your couch torn to pieces - and then the pieces get lodged and you have a bowel obstruction on your hands.
In the end an ounce of prevention can save you from a pound of trouble.

7 weeks old is way too young to be sleeping in bed with you. 7 weeks is too young to leave it's mother in the first place, shame on whoever bred him!!
Puppies are hyper, you can't expect him to behave like a 2 year old dog, puppies play when you don't want to, sleep when you want to play and are on their own schedule. What happened is very normal for a puppy under one year old.
You should have a crate for him to sleep in when he is not with you. Puppies need crates. It is a place of safety and security for them, they can escape the hustle and bustle if they need to and it helps them sleep.
In an older dog I would say the present was a little attitude, but in such a small puppy it is probably that he couldn't hold it any longer. Most young pups can go 5-6 hours tops. He probably tried to wake you up, scratching on your door so you could take him outside. When you didn't come he couldn't wait anymore and it just happened right there.
I would not recommend scolding a very young puppy for something like that. If he was 11 months? Maybe. But you must only scold when you catch him in the act. Never later on.
Just so you know, puppies do go through a regression period around 10-14 months where they will have accidents. Stay patient, they outgrow those rebellious teen years and stay kind and consistent.
Good luck!

I remember those days! Puppies can be very spiteful. You wouldn't let him in the room and he showed you exactly what he thought about it. If he is going to be a big dog you might want to get him used to sleeping off the bed earlier rather than later (for obvious reasons!). The presents should stop after a couple nights and you can implement an open door policy once he realizes it's okay to be in the room but not on the bed.
Good luck!

Yup he was offended all right. He may have been hyper due to something he ate, or a change in sleeping patterns due to a growth spurt. Patience in getting him calmed down for sleep would be best. Let him play a bit, and turn the play slowly into just petting, until he relaxes and realizes its sleep time. This may help you avoid future rewards at your door!

Congratulations to your new dog! To coach the dog to obey instructions you need to be constant. Always use the identical word or phrase and regularly talk within the identical tone of voice. Speak for your traditional voice. Do now not yell. Yelling frightens the dog and won't coach him/her a factor. You might feel that it does, considering simply as an instance say the dog has performed some thing that he/she is not intended to do and also you emerge as pissed off with Puppy and also you yell "No". The dog will transfer clear of you and you may also feel that you've got taught him/her some thing and this may not occur once more. Well, you could be part proper. You have taught the dog some thing via yelling at her/him and that's to be petrified of you considering the dog may not fully grasp why you are yelling. Please talk in a traditional voice or a tender voice whilst you talk to the dog. In order to coach the dog the command "No" first determined what the dog can do and what the dog is not intended to do. Some of that is noticeable to you and your loved ones. Some is probably not when you have youngsters corresponding to you do not desire the dog at the furnishings considering it (the furnishings) gets soiled and it is going to get puppy hair. After you determine together with your loved ones what's O.K. for the dog to do and what isn't O.K., then all people must use the identical phrase or phrases to coach the dog. Puppys be taught via repetition. Just preserve at it and beautiful quickly you're going to have a quality good behaved dog. Also, please don't hit the dog--regardless of a rolled up newspaper. People say that in case you do that the dog or the puppy won't accomplice it with you however this isn't precise. The dog can see who's protecting that newspaper. If you desire to subject the dog you must now not hit or yell. I had a dog that I crate proficient and while she could now not obey me after frequently, then I could placed her in her crate for what's referred to as a "day trip." I could now not placed her within the crate after which placed her in a room via herself--she could have felt deserted. Instead I placed the crate within the room with me and I sat and talked to her till she calmed down after which I instantly allow her out. You might do that. As to educating the dog to not chunk, and to not bark-- puppys bark--that is traditional however to coach her to give up barking, simply talk for your traditional voice and inform her "No" or "Be relatively" or "Hush" or some thing like that. As some distance as trainer her to not chunk, first be certain that the character isn't teasing the puppy. Biting is among the approaches that puppies and puppys have of shielding themselves. If the character had now not teased the dog, simply talk for your traditional voice to the dog and inform him/her "No" or "The postman is our pal" or some thing alongside those strains. This will take awhile, however puppies are sensible. Keep at it as I stated prior and beautiful quickly you're going to have a good-mannered dog. I close to overlooked the final side of your query. Since the dog is white a few names probably Snowball Frosty (male) Also you must make a record of names that you simply like and names that swimsuit the dog. Take a couple of days and watch the dog and you're going to discover the dog's persona and you may also desire to make a reputation from a attribute that he/she has. For illustration, I had a combined breed terrier. The title she had while I first bought her used to be fully irrelevant. I made a record of names that I preferred and I watched the dog and I spotted that she walked like a girl and held her head identical to a girl and so my new dog grew to become Lady.

Yep. You displaced him. He will continue to do it because it gets your attention. If you are not going to keep him in bed with you at night you may have to get an indoor kennel for him to sleep in. Be glad it was a stinky and not him chewing through an electrical cord.
