How long do keep the donuts in the fryer?

Yum, Yum, Yum!!! Im on my way over, I'll bring the coffee! Ok so seriously, heres my thought, I would say until they are brown and float to the surface! You could also just insert your knife or a toothpick in the centre and make sure it comes out clean, then you will know they are cooked thru!
