I LOVE PICKLED EGGS WITH A PASSION!!!! I usually get them at the store for around 30 cents each. It is cheaper to make them. Boil some eggs, place them in a jar with pickled beet juice (from a can of pickled beets) Let them sit in the fridge...the longer the better...I usually start eating them after about a week. Sometimes the ones in the store haven't "soaked" long enough, so the flavor is not as good. Enjoy! :O)

Some of the best pickled eggs I ever had is when I'm in a bar having a beer. The jar is on the bar alongside the pickled polish sausages, and pickled turkey gizzards.
We're talking the type of bar where there is at least one person passed out on the pool table, and of course you take your life into your own hands when you go to the bathroom.

They are great and are easy to make too. I buy several jars of pickled beets with onions and eat the beets and save the liquid for pickling about a dozen or two hard boiled peeled eggs. They turn a beautiful purple color and are ready to eat in a few days.

They used to make their own picked eggs in a pub I worked in - people would buy a packet of crisps and ask for a pickled egg and a spoonful of vinegar put into the packet. I tried it myself a couple of times, I quite liked it, but without the extra vinegar though, soggy crisps are not nice.

pickled eggs are sold in Fish and Chip takeaways ('CHIPPY' - for the person that wanted to know) and pubs across the UK. Traditionally eaten with a sprinkle of Black Pepper

Believe it or not pickled eggs are lovely with a fish supper. They stink like, but for some reason, taste o.k. Try them and see, you will be surprised. A pickled egg is about 60p.

I don't eat them, but have heard that they are really good. I don't know what they would cost where you are at, but it would be cheaper to make them your self... here is a recipe for them.
PICKLED EGGS
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
6 Hardcooked eggs
1 c Cider vinegar
1 c Beet liquid
1/3 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Onion, chopped
4 Whole cloves
Place peeled eggs in bowl or jar. Mix vinegar, beet
liquid, sugar, salt, onion and cloves. Pour over
eggs. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 days. Slice
eggs. 6 servings, 145 calories per serving
