Instant coffee never really tastes like brewed coffee, but I find that it could be a pleasant beverage on its own. Nescafe and Folgers are the two better quality, pricier brands. Store brands are almost always muddy and bitter and are not worth the savings. Just last week I discovered Cafe Bustelo Instant Coffee and I think it's the best tasting instant I have tried. It's made for the Latin American market, so it has a richer flavor but it's still smooth and has no bitterness at all. And it was under US$3 for a large 8 oz (226g) jar. I make it by microwaving a bit of milk in a mug, then mixing in a heaping teaspoon of the coffee and topping it off with boiling water. Not bad.

WAS!!! Nestle Nestle Mountain Blend Coffee....until the idiots decided to end production. No one I served thought was instant and was so versatile for making hot and iced asap.Will be missed and now have to search in vain for a supplement after years of trial and error :(

I think the best tasting instant coffee is Javita. It's fairly new, but it tastes great and has great health benefits which include natural herbs that promote weight loss. Check it out.

Most instant coffee's all rate about the same, YUK!!!!. But you can try Nescafe Clasico and see what you think....
