I need to charge two plates positively and negatively using a battery. How to do it? Would simply connecting the plates to the terminals do? I guess it won't. So please help. Need it for a science project.

Yes connecting a battery would charge the two plates - like a capacitor. You have not told us what your science project is? I would guess that you may need a much higher voltage than the battery can provide - it depends on what you are trying to do.

so some distance as i be conscious of, even nonetheless the charging happens the workstation will continually use the comparable capability. Leaving it plugged in once you're utilising it won't use from now on capability than charging it once you're actually not utilising it. 2 issues you're able to do to maintain capability could be: make certain you unplug the charger while it is not getting used. in simple terms leaving the charger plugged in makes use of slightly of capability. on the workstation set it to a capability saving mode everytime you're actually not doing extensive issues. in simple terms chatting and viewing e mail could properly be finished on capability Saver mode.

Why wouldn't it? Why do you guess that it won't?

Perhaps you need to review your textbook's chapter on capacitors. Didn't your instructor demonstrate this in class with a BIG capacitor?
