Even Islam doesn't say that Prophet Muhammad was the first prophet, but Islam does say that Prophet Muhammad follows Adam's religion, which is believing in the One True God. So yes, Prophet Muhammad preached the same ideology of the first man.

I am wondering if you have ever picked up a history book or a bible in your life. The answer to your question is No. But if you don't know than you just don't know. But there were several main stream religions that existed prior to Islam coming into existence. As a matter of fact Some of the things that Islam practices are base on some of those main stream religions. As for my thought I do believe that Muhammad did received a message from God. What I don't believe is that it is ok in an any religion to practice hating or hurting another human being in order to gain power over your own or others. Also any form of suicide goes against the laws of God............................. Another thing harming another human or having someone else harm another human being is just another way of committing suicide..........................

I believe Hinduism is the oldest religion. That's what is in my old college textbook from a religion class I took. Christianity is a baby in comparison to others like Buddhism and Hinduism. Men just made all that up fairly recently, in the grand scheme of things.
