Yes, most likely. Right now she is marking her territory to advertise her readiness to mate. She won't have that urge after spaying.

You need to get her spayed a.s.a.p. One year old is not too young. 9 times out of 10 that will stop the spraying, but since you didn't get her spayed at an early age, it's liable to be a habit now. By the way, contrary to what a couple of people have said in answer to your question, YES, female cats can and DO spray. It is not uncommon for them to do so.

She may have a urinary tract infection. But she needs to be spayed as well. I would have the vet check her out. Spaying should help, as well.

FEMALE CATS pee to mark their TERRITORY, TOO.
It's her instinct n u can do nothing about it unless she's spayed.
yet I have some tips. Each time u see her going to pee, u shout and it'd make her stop. Tell others in your family to do so and she may remember her peeing is bad. This method is effective only when she's just started doing so.

maybe yes maybe no.. it depends on why she is peeing.. she should go to a vet to be checked for bladder infection or kidney stones
unspayed cats are more vulnerable for other health risks so its always good to spay them

once they have that habit ,it's hard to get them out. Most likely it won't help, but if it's because of some kind of infection it will.Otherwise keep everything off the grown and spray her with water when you catch her then take her n put her in the potty. In our family a cat starts that they usually don't stop so we'll give to another person in the family n they stop.

Absolutley! Fixed animals are generally much healthier, as well. Females do not usually spray though. I would talk to your vet about possible health problems. Otherwise, please do get her spayed!
