So sorry, I wanted to know how people feel on Remembrance day - as a military wife, I have a strong connecton to today, as it effects my husband so. Please forgive my earlier blunder, I have been up all night with a crying, teething six month old and my brain is a little sluggish this morning!

We give little credit to the families of veterans, such as yourself. The sacrifices made by wives and children of veterans are sometimes greater that those of veterans, themselves. Many times the sacrifices and long periods of waiting and not knowing, don't always turn out the way we hope, and that makes it particularly sad.

I'd like to extend a special thanks to all of you out there, who make up the family unit of those veterans who are out there fighting the good fight. God bless you, your children, and we pray for the safe return of your loved ones. Semper Fidelis!

In Canada, today is "Rememberance Day "
It means a lot to me to be able to Honour and remember those who gave their lives and those who served to give us what is probably the "freest" nation on the planet.
It is very important to remember our young men & women presently serving in Afghanistan and other places around the world. Sadly , Afghanistan has given our nation many more "Silver Cross" mothers.

" They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them. "

As a military wife, I have a strong connection to today as well. I am thankful that my husband is safe but thankful that our brave men and women are overseas fighting for freedom.

For the teething baby, try Motrin. It works wonders. Good luck.

I myself note the day and think of how November 11 came to be significant in the first place. I can't say I take it TOO much further because I take a little time to remember each day. Not just on legal holidays.

If you mean Veterans Day, which is celebrated today, I feel strongly it is an appropriate time to reflect on all of those who have served our nation honorably in the military. For their commitment and sacrifice we should all be proud, as should the spouse of such a person!
