Try doing some exercise tapes at the end of the day.
The problem sounds like motivation on your part. What do you have that motivates you to keep going.
Shoot. I work 40 plus hours as a social worker and I'm a full times college student too. I'm tired. but I force myself to do it.
I've lost 70 lbs so far just by staying motivated. You have to constantly remind yourself of why you want to do something and why you want to succeed.
Yes, eating late at night is terrible. Eat a hearty healthy breakfast and lunch and a light dinner. You need energy during the day, not at night.
I think you may be eating late at night from nervousness and just "mouth hunger". It may not be that you are really hungry, but just nervous.
Next time you get a craving at night, keep some of your favorite (most yummy tasting) bubble gum or gum on your night stand. Chew it and see if your craving goes away. Sometimes you jsut want the taste to make you happy but not the food itself.
Thats my best advice.

make sure you eat something at lunch, even if its just crackers or a little snack,,
then for dinner, try to eat a few hours before you will go to bed,
also, think of exercise in small doses, not something you must do at certain times or amounts,
what i do,, is try to eat around 6 or 7, then at night, while im watching tv , i jump up and job in place or dance around, or any exercise, during commercials, or if im on the computer or reading, every half hour i take 5 mins out,
most can find 5 mins here and there, to do something physical, and that does add up!
with this system, i really dont have to worrry even about my late night snack lol

Sometimes the feelings of thirst are mistaken for hunger. Try to drink a couple cold glasses of water before looking for something to eat. It might satisfy your craving. Try not to keep junk food in the house because if it's available you will most likely start snacking on it. Try to keep healthy alternatives like fruit or raisins or nuts in the house so you can snack on that instead. Good luck.

Okay, I am a person that works 3-11 and when I get home and am ready to eat as well. I don't usually eat a lot during the day and at night I try to eat things that are healthy. You won't get fat if you eat late at night, but you won't lose weight either. Eat when you are hungry and if its late at night eat things that are healthy. Good Luck!!

I don't know how late you eat at night, but I did know a lady who did this in gained a lot of weight so she started to just go to bed when she felt like eating and she lost 70 pounds. She did start walking more. Just remember you don't have to work out one hour everyday. I break mine down to three 15 min. exercises. I exercise in the morning before work and on my breaks at work.
Just think of fun easy ways to exercise. Just move to some music and stop eating at night. GOD LUCK

I work second shift and eat a lot at night. I started exercising 2 months ago and have lost 29 pounds. I didnt change what I ate, I just changed how much I ate. Instead of a Double Quarter Pounder w/ Large Fry and a Large Coke, I get a Cheeseburger, Medium Fry and a Medium Diet Coke. Eating at night isnt a bad thing, when you sleep, your body burns fat (very little, but still). Eat WHENEVER, just be careful what you eat.

Go ahead and eat all you want. But make sure you eat the RIGHT things!!!!!!!!!!! Carrot sticks, celery, an apple, watermelon. Get a few bottles of that flavored water or diet sodas. The more you drink the less hungrey you get. I hope this helps. When you DO eat dinner I found that lots of brown rice and steamed veggies fill you up. It seems that you STAY full a long time, too.

I munch on rice cakes or apples after 8pm if I get hungry. Does the trick for me as they both require lots of chewing and that activity normally satisfies me. Either that or I do puzzles... crosswords, suduko etc.... Keeps the mind occupied and of the topic of food.
