I don't know,...why? I will say that I am caucasion/american indian. And alot of people dislike Indians. They call them "savages" however that is their opinion. And my opinion is this,...there are more "savages" today and worse "savages" today than there were then.
EX: Indians killed for territory
Now people kill for shoes, jackets, other items they want
Indians killed animals and used all of the animal for warmth, food
Now people kill animals for sport and don't use any of the animal for anything
So who are the savages?

In the first place, I don't know of any instance of Indians (Native Americans) attacking stage coaches. Second, if they did, the horses would have been the most valuable thing for them. And third, it just ain't that easy to shoot and kill a running horse, especially if you are firing from a galloping horse

They did sometimes. But horses were valuable to the American Indian and to add to their herd was a priority.

Indians didn't have guns and their bows might not be strong enough. They may have also wanted to use the horses for thweir tribe.
