There's this guy that likes me and wants to go out with me but I know it will never work. At the same time he can't find it for us to be friends and that's all i want to be. Telling ihm without hurting his feelings is what i've been trying to do but nothing seems to be working.

You seem to have an agenda already even b4 you give yourself a chance with this guy. 'What if'
questions are something to consider...such as...what if you really like him after going out with him; what if after going out with you and he doesn't like you? Are you afraid of rejection? There is no harm in going out even for a meal with him and then telling him that you would rather stay friends and nothing more than that. At least he will understand. Making assumptions will not help as you both don't even know each other. Sounds like he just has a 'crush' on you in which case, it is easy to justify that. Nothing will work if you totally ignore him...that even hurts more I guess! But do at least give him the benifit of the doubt! Good luck!

Try going out with him how do you know it will not work?
If it doesn't work tell him you knew this, and that you tried to tell him. Say the only option is to be friends. Prove your point and he cannot question it.

If telling him won't work, write a letter... uh huh- SNAIL MAIL. That seems to make it seem much more real.

when you act just like a friend with him , soon he will give up and stop asking you what you really dont like to do but if he doesnt stop ,you'll have to not be even his friend then I think.

Ask him if he would like to double date sometime. If he doesn't get the message he is very dense.

Then let it ride.

You've tried to be kind and patient with him.

It isn't your problem - it's his.

Sooner or later he will get the message.
