We had someone in our office who had an extremely bad body odor problem. It is really the supervisors job to tell the person. The supervisor should be informed by the other co-workers and should then take the offending party aside and tell them gently that they should try to take better care of the problem. That way, you aren't risking bad relations at work.

there is not any thanks to be diplomatic even as drawing near someone about this mission. once you're the owner or manager defer the concern to them. i might want to propose someone come across out if this human being is homeless or lives in a take care of perhaps it really is the reason on the decrease back of th offensive scent. The pub may nicely be imaginative and characteristic a door prize for the the numerous visits in Mont or week and cutting-part the winner with a tremendous basket full of toiletries. Please include cleansing cleansing soap, deodorant (non scented), wash cloths,(2) tremendous bathtub towels, mouthwash, cologne (comfortable scented) teeth paste and teeth brushes, razors and shaving cream. Dint forget a clean pair of underclothes as well as a clean pair of pants and a clean blouse. you want to maintain the longtime customers at a similar time as not dropping your on a daily foundation employer. you'll might want to favor to have one for a lady as will to not make the guy adventure undesirable.

Sure. There's no reason why everyone should have to work while smelling someone else's stench day in and day out. I would print on a piece of paper: You Stink. Get Some Deodorant.

I knew somebody once who called an employee with terrible BO into his office. Before she'd sat down he said "Mary, you stink. Sort it," and then waved her out of the office. Apparently she burst into tears and this was the cue for a co-worker to suggest they go shopping at lunchtime for bathing essentials and deodorant. I believe it worked!

YES. Why continue to suffer? And why let them continue to offend? Perhaps they don't know, perhaps they do, and you can help them to an understanding that they need to fix it!

We have a guy at the office who smells so bad, the boss lysols his chair every night! He apparently can't help it...at least he hasn't so far, and he knows.

No , I would not. I might tell my supervisor if I had to work closely with the person. I can think of no polite way to tell someone that they smell.

a thousand times yes. or i would just avoid them for all eternity. do you know how bad smells get to people. and it like instead of your nose contracting it flares as if it likes that foul smell. its good to tell them that they stink. but in a nice mature way. otherwise your nose will be flaring till kingdom come and the smell will be stuck in your throat

yes of course, id tell them.
why not.
if they are so used to it that they cant deal with the situation then they should be told.
just be polite and take them to one side,
and explain that a few people have noticed.
after all there is no reason for you to be scared of the situation, just use deplomacy.

i'll try to be discreet, tactful about it...you have to consider who the person is...if it's a male and i don't have the necessary 'rapport' w/ the person i'll try to encourage a male coworker to tell the person is smells offensive (assuming the person would receive the info better/be less embarrass if it came from a guy) if it's a female i'll probably try to find suitable opportunity to tell her w/o being mean.
