What do you eat? I can't have dairy, nuts, chocolate, fatty/greasy foods, veggies and fruits with seeds, most red meats. Any suggestions?

I hear you loud and clear. Not only do I have ibs,but I have lactose intolerance and a load of fruit allergies. I eat things like soups, chicken and rice that sort of thing. Cinnamon raisin toast is really good for your stomach too. It's really up to you. You should keep a diary, start introducing different foods, and make a note of which agreed and which didn't. It's different for everyone.

Who in the world put you on that ridiculous diet.? Present treatment calls for a great deal of roughage and fiber in the diet. See a gastrenterologist. Some doctor is way behind the times.

IBS is a trick of the mind. Try biofeedback methods. You cannot restrict your diet so severely. Do you have predominant constipation or diarrhea, any cramps?
there are different medicine groups for all of these.

my mom is that way also, and has diverticulosis. Fiber is the key, use Metamucil or Citracel but take fiber with every meal, it really helps.
