I am taking my sister to NYC for her 18th birthday in December, and I would like to go to a restaurant for dinner near rockefeller center. Prefer mid-priced, but willing to pay alittle exta. Great atmosphere a must! Thanks!

1. The Sea Grill overlooks Rockefeller Center-reservations needed
2. One If By Land, Two If By Sea- contemporary- fantastic and very romantic-reservations needed
3. Patsy's- Italian- great food- Italian atmosphere-reservations needed
4. Joe Allen's- contemporary- celebrities dine at this restaurant after the plays let out around 10:00-10:30 p.m.-make reservation for a table in the bar area-the entrance and exit to this restaurant is through the bar!
5. Tavern On The Green- "THE CRYSTAL ROOM ONLY!!!"-contemporary- need reservations
make your reservations at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance or as soon as possible especially for "The Crystal Room" in Tavern On The Green and The Sea Grill!

There is a barbecue place called Virgil's, 152 W. 44th. For NYC it isn't too pricey. It's midtown off broadway not too far from "the rock". The best way to try restaurants in NYC is lunch if they are open; call first. Another great place, only open during the week, maybe Saturday, I;m not sure, is the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station. I don't know how late they stay open, again, lunch is your best bet for a fabulous NYC meal at a more reasonable price. Nothing in NYC is cheap. Happy Birthday and God bless you.
