Husband and Wife are first cousins?

Is it a sin to be married to your first cousin? Are there any scriptures in the Bible about being married to your first cousin?

No scripture against it. In fact bible characters often married within family.

It used to be said that the danger was they would have children with handicaps, but that has been proved false.

I saw a special a while back where this one country in the Middle East, the rich kept their money in the family by marring first cousins.

In some Middle-Eastern cultures this is the norm. They believe that marrying within the family strengthens the family and marriage outside the family weakens it.

However, these societies create genetic isolates. This can be good or bad. If there is a genetic defect it tends to become more pronounced. Jews of Eastern European descent have a high incidence of certain genetic diseases. This is a result of having a small population which is not necessarily inbred.

It just wouldn't be nice to marry family!! I have a very good looking cousin-my other cousin and I both think so-but no ways would I even think of marrying him!!

There are no bible verses that talk about cousins in particular, but there are some that talk about not marrying family members, like your sister, brother, aunt, uncle, etc. The main concern is birth defects. So I would venture to say no for that marriage if for nothing else than the child's sake.

Our neighbors were second cousins and three of their four kids were retarded. Their little girl was born blind with severe handicaps. I find it hard to believe, as one person said, there's no genetic problem with this. I think it's a genetic train wreck. At least don't have kids.
