you should have no need of him dumping you. I may only be 13 with a grade point averadge of a 4.0 but you should think this. If he really loves/likes you then he would like/love you for who you are and not how smart you are. maybe one day you can ask him if he really loves you and put him to the test.

Talk to him tell him how you feel thats the first step you should take. He is with you now for a reason you may not be as smart as him but I am sure you have other qualities that he likes and admires about you! Being smart is not everything, you must be special in other ways, why he wants you in his life. Don't worry he is with you and not some other smarty pants so don't fret. Talk to him!

i am sure that you have always been a 2.8. i dont think you used to be a 3.5 or a 4.0. so why worry? if he had always loved you right from the point when you were still a 2.8, what difference does it take now?
just love him. and love him well.

I don't think that he'll dump you because of that...don't worry. He probably likes the way you are and everything about you!
And well, if you feel a little dump next to him maybe you should study more or try to learn from him! =)

don't compare yourself to him. Your insecurity is more of a reason to "dump" you than your GPA. You might just be a different kind of learner and your learning style isn't the prevalent one in your classes. 2.8 isn't so bad.

you had better realize that you come from two different worlds and sooner or later you would separate anyway. the smart thing to do is ease off til he either proposes or leaves. sorry but true.
