I need a program or software that can make sprites. I heard of flash is it good? if it is where can i download it. If theres a better software than flash or what ver other sprite making thing there is out there can you give me a site to download it.

Need to know what they are to be used for - sprites traditionaly are simple bit mapped objects, stored in firmware and if that is what you want then no flash is not the program you want.

Mspaint is as good as anything for creating sprites of the early mario, space invader type.

Flash would be used for creating vector shapes as used in asteroids, lunar lander etc
