My biggest problem is not anger, because I cannot keep angry at anyone for a period of time. I always manage to try and see it from their perspective, and as a result I am able to forgive.. My biggest problem is fear. I am always afraid to take the next step in myself, because from conditioning as a child it seemed that nothing worked out for me. So I am always apprehensive, waiting for the mac truck to run me down. I know that in alot of ways I create the mac truck, but my biggest fear is to let go.. Do you have any suggetions?

Everyone, to one degree or another, has a fear of the unknown. This is the one area of our lives where to become truly "whole" we must work through our fear in order to become fully actualized. And given the way in which our universe works, meaning, "Like attracts Like," if we do not work through our fears and eventually become fearless, we end up attracting to ourselves fear generating situations and people.

The first step in your journey of positive change is to realize that we create our own reality. Consequently, if you fear, fear will be abundant in your life! So, instead of looking at individual fears, look at fear itself. Those individual fears are like the heat emanating from a fire. They are not the source - the fire. Fear being the metaphor for the fire.

More often than not, fear's root is a fundamental fear of death. From there, behavior like people being "control freaks" or individual fears like a fear of flying, result. So, you must first face the eventuality of your own death - square on. And at the same time, in tandem, you must recognize your love of self - or - develop a love of self. Once you've done that successfully,

You can face anything. Whether you succeed or fail will no longer be important to you. Simply the ability to face everything with a smile will be its own reward.

Good luck!

satan's biggest weapon is fear.
he uses the "illusion of Failure"on Everybody.
The Mind is an Incredible Thing.
You can Overcome Fear no matter what religion you are in.
Think of your Mind as a Computer.
It can be Programmed.
There are lower levels and higher levels of the Mind.
A whole lot of what you Fear (imagine) never happens.
Fear will kill, steal and destroy Good Things in your Future.
Fear can also cause Self Fulfilling Prophecy.
Reprogramming your mind to weed out Fear, can be Easy or Hard, depending on what Level that Fear has been programmed on.

Ways to Reprogram your Mind:
1. Talk Outloud to yourself. Your Mind will Listen to you More than it will Listen to Anything or Anyone Else. It is Your Soul, nobody Else's.
Say Positive Things to counter-act each Fear.
2. Read Positive Uplifting Things. OutLoud if you want to. Listen to Positive Motivational CDs. The Astronauts Listened to them on the Way to the Moon. They work.
3. Tape up Papers (Homework size) with Positive Motivational Statements on them, around the House. The Eyes are a Powerful Input to the Soul (Mind).
You will Start enjoying Freedom from Fear if you Diligently do these Things Daily. Takes Time, some are Stubborn, but you should see a Change in your Thinking, Feelings and Emotions if you Continue.

That old Statement is True to a Point: The only Thing we have to Fear is Fear Itself.
We also have to use Common Sense too! Don't Play in the Street!
Some things just make Sense!
Teach your Kids the Physical Laws of this Earth Wisely. A big heavy car could Hurt Johnny if he dosen't Play Away from the Street.
Don't scare (instill Fear) your Kids trying to Teach them.

As far as religions (I wouldn't suggest Any religion) it is up to you.

If you Want to Reprogram your Mind to the Best---AND be Able to Actually make the Sources of Those Fear Thoughts go Away---then you will have to get Born-Again (Saved) and Walk with Jesus, Learn through Bible Studys what Jesus has Provided for us to use against satan and his Angels (the Source of all Fears) Then use Those Things Diligently Everyday.
Getting Saved (Born-Again) is Reality not religion.
Hope this helps.

Everybody will recommend their own belief system. HA HA! But fear is something I have never had so it is hard for me to relate. I am trying though. You have been conditioned to believe your efforts will fail, so you must re-condition yourself to believe, with every atom of your being, that your efforts will be fruitful.

How to do this? I don't know. I would have to relate to fear personally and I have always been relatively fearless. I will post this site as it speaks about handling fear from a Buddhist perspective. I hope it is helpful. Be brave, it will be fine in the end!

I would get some Christian counseling. Remember, there are good and bad in every field and just because someone dons the title Christian doesn't make them Christian or competent. Some are, however. Find one (you may go through several to get a good match) and with some good teaching / cognitive behavioural therapy you'll learn how to deal with your fears and anxieties. I'd suggest starting out at www.NewLife.com. They have counselor referral and on-line help and resources. Great group of Christian counselors. Good luck and God bless you. ~Nise~

Matthew 6:25-34
25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Philippians 4:1-9
1 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. 2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Find true peace in the loving arms of Jesus.
