Yes, and all Christians i believe are daily a work in progress, daily my beliefs become stronger and stronger. Thank goodness our God is a forgiving God and he looks at our hearts and the sincerity or there lack of. We must strive everyday in every way to live our lives as a Christian. It is a difficult process at times more so than others. However, nothing is impossible with God! Have a great day, and God bless! That was a very thought provoking question, however, not difficult for me. Thanks for sharing.

This is an error known as donatism - the idea that Christians should congregate only among the righteous and abandon the world to the world.

But re-read the bible, if you have convinced yourself of this. The new Testament is a story of Jesus patiently going to the unrighteous and trying to make disciples of them, even unto death. Acts tells the same story - a church defiantly facing any and all persecution and going into the world in the hopes of saving it. How many towns was St. Paul beaten and thrown out of? And yet, had he taken the donatist road, he would never have been able to say to the jailer, "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here."

Jesus did not come for the well, for they have no need of a physician. We must pick up our cross and follow him.

Follow him through the world.

Correct.
If we live in sin we cannot say that we are Christians; if we try hard not to sin, if we pray and ask for HIS help God will help us, and we'll understand a bit HIS WONDERFUL LOVE!

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."

Well stated, and 100% true. It is a fulfillment of prophecy though.
