as a personal trainer, i hear these types of questions all the time. there are two words to sum up the answer:

Diet, Exercise.

You say that you exercise regulary, try going for a brisk/ powerwalk. Try to incorporate fitness in to your natural lifestyle for example, do you drive to the shops that are just around the corner, take the stairs and not the lift. i would try and change the types of exercise that you do, if you enjoy it then there is no need to give it up you can still do it twice weekley. Swimming is an excellent all over body work out. Join a gym, lots of machines, they will be able to right a training programme out in order for you follow and achieve your goal. if you do not want to go to a gym/ afford it, try the shops: but some small weights (cost 10-20 pounds) you can then do it in your own privacy.

remember you cant use money as an exercise, running, walking, sit ups, press ups etc are all free!

diet:

you dnt say what your eating habits are like, try to keep your calorific intake below 1,400. drink water and not alcohol/ fizzy/tea/coffee (all contains fat etc). have a treat day when you can have 3 unhealthy pieces of food and 4 unhealthy drinks (wine, beer, alcopops on a saturday night!) try to eat your 5 portions of fruit and veg, only eat wne u are hungry not when you "fancy" something to eat.

Good Luck

1. The easiest way to lose weight around the belly is cardiovascular exercise. Forty-five minutes a day on an elliptical machine will drop a couple of pounds a week by itself.

2. Doing weight-training (with some crunches in there) three times a week will build lean muscle mass, and improve metabolism. It will also help reshape your body.

3. A pound of fat equals 3500 calories. Weight gain or loss is equal to calories consumed minus calories expended. Simply put, short of amputation or death, diet and exercise is the only way to lose weight. Keep track of what it is you're eating. If you limit yourself to (Your weight in pounds x 10) - 500, you'll lose a pound a week that way -- but make sure you're getting your minimum amount of protein, because protein insufficiency can be very dangerous to your health.

It is usally eating and self control....I have the same problem, in denial of what I eat and the affect.

What do you choose at a restaurant?
Diet cola vs Coke or mixed drink
Fries vs salad
vinegar/oil vs thousand island
dessert vs black coffee or ice tea

If you are hungry, find a low cal snack and use it. I munch on carrot sticks now. DOn't buy potatoe chips. etc.

DOn;t look at food as a right, but as a necessary poison, like a medicine that you need to take each day. Minimize the poison in your system

How long have you been doing tae kwon do? I dropped almost 60 lbs. within my first year of starting tae kwon do. I participated in a lot of sparring and really got into each class. I also cut back my red meat, fast food, and soda intake... substituting them for more rest, more water, going to bed earlier and getting up earlier, and more walks with my dog.

You're off to a great start just keep it up, the weight will begin to come off... you need to allow for you metabolism to kick in!

Okay, I've read the others sugestions and they seem quite good.
However, I think the best tip is, totally replace your deserts/chocolate bars with protein bars. They taste great their good for you.

I did it and I lost my gut in just under a month. My side paddles have disappeared. Make sure the bars contain no sugar and low fat though. Tried and tested. Dont forget though drink sufficient water throughout the day, it will deduce your hunger.

Some bars can be replacement for meals, for times when you havent got time to eat. They maintain your body and make you bones and muscles strong too.

Hope this helps...

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Other than the exersize tou get at Tai-Kwon-do classes (haven't they mentioned how to loose weight to you?), drink at least 2 liters of water.

It is not so much what you eat, but how much of what you eat.
Keep track (honest close track) of your food and drink intake.

There is no easy way I'm afraid, just a healthy diet and cardio-vascular exercise (running, swimming, rowing, cycling etc), just be dilligent and the weight will come off, but it will be neither quick nor easy, sorry
