Consider this: of all the hundreds of gods said to exist, christians and atheists only disagree on one god. Both christians and atheists reject most of the gods. It is just that atheists believe in one fewer god than christians.

A-T-H-E-I-S-T-S (spelled correctly), are rational beings who seek real answers to questions without feeling we are "owed" an answer. Christians are delusional superstitionists who demand answers to fundamental questions and seem willing to swallow any pile of crap they are fed. How can they be similar?

Consider this; atheist believe in a god; man (often self). TRUE Christianity and Judaism believe in God as superior to man (a false god). The Jews were commanded to have '2 or more witnesses, and so were Christians. However, man (including many Christians here in the U.S.) only utilizes the one witness review. (Many times; one witness being a false god). So in that context, atheist and many Christians are similiar.

Dear Neil, there are two problems with your argument. #1 Atheism is belife in No God not disbelife in a certain categorie of Gods. This is commonly called theism. theism is the belife that al Gods are equaly Valid, But we simply disagree on which God we worship. There is a Big difference. #2 Saying that Atheist only belive in one less God than the Chrisitans is not only Incorrect by the definiton of Atheist, But whil,e it makes Chrisitanity sound quant and qute there is a Huge Fkaw. If the God of the BIble is real, then its no longer funny and your in Huge trouble. Let me explain why............

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the Bible says "he who hates his brother is a murderer." Have you ever hated someone?
beairng inmind thatNothing you have ever done is Hid from His Holy eyes, would you be inocent or guilty? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name. many Atheist ask me If there is truly a way that they can Know for sure that this God is real. The BIble gives a Challenge to any skeptic. The BIble says anyone who Repents (turns from sin) and places there faith and trust in Jesus wil be forgiven and granted the gift of everlasting life. Not only that but God will reveal himself to you, This dosent mean that you will se heavenly images or hear angelic voices, rather God will make within you a new heart with new desires.
Either this is true or its Not, I would simply ask that you wager carefuly, because were talking about your eternal salvation.

This is really funny. And you have a valid point. Actually truth be known about 95% of Atheist are Rebellious Christians trying to justify their inward guilt by ridiculing Active Christians and forcing themselves to not believe even though the Holy Spirit haunts them. It's a really wacky deal. I was an Atheist for a long time and this is what I was doing.

Yes, they are similar in that atheists dismiss all gods and Christians dismiss all except one (and in some cases three).
