I took the shot only once, in June of this year and have been off of it for almost 2 months now. It has been 38 days since I seemed to have started my last period. I have taken pregnancy tests and they all say neg. Can you be pregnant and have a neg test this far in?

When in doubt check with your doctor.

Took a shot of what? I'm assuming you mean birth control. You have to understand that birth control works by altering the hormone levels in your body. It takes time to allow your body to return to it's natural state when you stop using hormonal birth control products, which can take up to six months. If you're trying to get pregnant, just relax and be patient. Give your body a chance to adjust. In the meantime, take good care of yourself and mind your health.

Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate now a days, but by no means are they perfect every time. It is completely possible to be pregnant and get a negative. The only way to know for certain is to get a blood test.

Good Luck!

Of course. Pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate. You might need to visit your doctor for more information.

well, never say never. But, the test isn't the only way you will know. There are other signs your body will give you. More likey, the chemicals in the shot has your normal cycle messed up.
