I signed off unemployment benefit to start a part time job at a store. The people there ridiculed me and laughed at me, and were unhelpful, always putting me down, they made me feel 2' tall, I started to hide my true nature, and it was mentally painful, and I started to be anxious and ill, and feel I was worthless, when I know Im not. I havent been brought up in a rough competitive culture, to know how to deal with it and even if I was I wouldnt take part in degrading people like this. Now I feel if I try to sign back on unemloyment benefit, I dont know if Ill be able to. If anyone can help Ill be grateful, thankyou

I believe there is a law that allows you to do so. You will need to check into that. But, more importantly, you need to learn how to deal with people or you will be hiding all of your life. You can't keep quitting jobs because there are idiots out there.
I suggest you see a counselor, for talk therapy, and discuss what is going on to see if you can learn how to better deal with people like this. There are ways to verbally deflect put downs without slamming someone against a wall. Sticking up for yourself is essential in life, or you get eaten alive.
Once you have done that, then you need to figure out what you can do to help others with the same problem. That will give you even more power. We can't allow bullies to rule the world.

I think you should be able to sign on again!! It sounds like you left due to "Constructive Dismissal". This is where you are made to leave because your work environment is so bad you have no other choice or it is damaging your health !!! You could see a benefits advisor to get advice on what your rights are !!!

Did you bypass to the physician or get expert suggestion? which will help on your favour. you will would desire to show to the dole which you're actual and not basically shirking. i be attentive to this through fact i've got been in comparable circumstances. the 1st time I controlled to get IS through fact i replaced into so under pressure - the 2d time, fortuitously I had a night interest which i could bypass to, which at last grew to become my important interest. you may additionally take it to a tribunal to show you propose business enterprise. place of labor ridicule and bullying is OUT OF ORDER and ought to be stopped.

You need to grow up, life is not a bed of roses you have to work at, you get out what you put in. There is a lot you could have done, gone to the manager or another collegue (surely not every member of the staff bullied you) or just stood up for yourself, bullying only works if you let it, bully's don't like to be stood up to most of them are cowards and soon as you stand up for yourself they will back off. Now go out get another job, there are plenty out there if you really want to work, this time do all you can to make friends. Good Luck.

It depends how long you were on benefit. You do have the option of trying a job and if things don't work out you can return to benefits. The Jobcentre is not the best place to ask. Go to your local CAB. They often have better info than the jobcentre.

My only thought is to simply get a different job. I never stay at a job where I am unhappy. I don't think you can go back to unemployment again. So just look for another job before quiting this one.

No you won't get benefits again, int he same way, as you quit the job. You should have stood up for yourself and gone to management at the place of employment, or looked for another job. Too many people take the easy way out, get off your **** and get a life, your'e an adult, get to work and stop fannying around, working for a living is far better for the self esteem angle, and for confidence, get a grip on life and deal with it as an adult

to be honest i'm not a hundred percent sure.
i think you can claim but you won't get the full amount as you left the job of your own will. i'm afraid they are unsympathtic in these situations. i hope you find somewhere better to work as no one should be made to feel like that in the work place.

You only get un-employment if you are fired through no fault of your own, or have an exceptionally good reason for quitting, like discrimination or harassment from your boss or superior.
