I have been give some granite floor tiles, how do I lay them and can I lay them onto existing ceramic floor tiles. I cannot afford a proper floor tiler.

go to the web site for holmes on homes he did a granite floor and braced the floor up first and then broke out the tile and then rescrewed the old underlayment down and then put a fiber wrap on the floor and then used thinset and laid the floor in your supposed to find the square edge of the room, and run off that or divide the space and snap a chalk line to fine the exact center to come off of do the floor with the thinset with a 3/8 gap trowel in 4 foot sections at a time use a straight edge metal ruler to keep the lines straight ,, Mike Holmes from the show on hgtv is da bomb he can build and or repair anything

go 2 home depot r lowes they have books on how 2 do it. Yes u can put it over floor tiles. There is 1 prob those will it match ur wall panels and sliding doors. check it b 4 u do it. U might have 2 pull up the old floor tile. If so no prob. Slege hammer and a floor scrapper u should b able 2 get it up.

Not a lot you can do with this type of tile.I have seen some plastic strips that stick to edges of steps sometimes and they contain small glass bits,I think is called carborandum or quarantum,to stop just the edge of the step been slippery,but you can not cover the whole area with them.May be try using them to the points,like the end and beggining of the floor,or may be is best to use some sort of shoes with rubber on the sole.

yes i have just done my kitchen i put down a thin layer of cement to lay them on turned out really good.
