I am a male in my 20's and I want to lose as much weight as possible as quickly as possible.

Can anyone suggest a selection of simple meals suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner that I'll feasibly be able to stick to?

I can only say that slower is better and faster :D .....slower you lose weight longer you keep the new weight ......

try to eat normally....and eat everything

morning....fruit, a lot of fruit.....
from noon on you can eat everything, salad and chicken, a lot of vegetables, fish, steaks.....don't combine meat and potatoes, or bread and meat, try to avoid bread.....

drink 20 minutes after eating....and eat 20 minutes after drinking

don't eat after 6 in the evening

good luck

For starters it is not a good idea too lose too much weight too quickly because you will put back on the weight you lose and more. However try the following, and remember to exercise and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day that is very important:

Breakfast - Glass of orange juice or apple juice, with one of the following:
50g of Bran-flakes, Muesli, Fruit and fibre, Special K,
2 wheatabixes, or shredded wheat

Or Scrambled egg on toast, or a poached egg on toast
Or 2 slices of toast with Marmalade, or 2 small bananas on toast if you have to have margarine use a low fat spread

Mid-morning - An apple or a banana

Lunch - Jacket potato with baked beans
Or a ham or tuna or a Salmon sandwich with salad
Or you could have some pasta with tuna and sweetcorn mixed in

Dinner - Chicken stir fry, served with Rice
Or Stuffed peppers
or grilled low-fat sausages with boiled potatoes and vegetables.

Basically if you reduce your junk food intake and eat a balance meal that includes fruits and vegetable you should be okay, and start to lose weight. Also you have to exercise. But you will have to cut out the chocolate, crisps and other high in fat foods and start eating more fibre and low calorie foods

A short term solution is to cut right back on carbs, carbonated drinks and cut down portion sizes. Remember though, the quicker you lose the weight, the quicker you will gain it again when you go back to eating 'normally', and you may end up adding even more. The best way is to lose the weight slowly (annoying I know) but at least you will have a better chance of keeping it off. Weetabix with skim milk or fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, salads, lean meats, tuna, wholegrain bread for lunch and fish with veges for dinner are all nutritious, low-fat meals to aid weight loss. Combined with regular cardio and resistance exercise you should be on your way to a trimmer, healthier body!

If you're single I would recommend looking at "Lighter Life" - lots of money for the programme, but you can get the mealplans elsewhere if you need. It's great for not having to worry about what to eat, but if you're a family man, it may not be the easiest thing to stick to. - they say you can lose a stone a month...
