this guy had been staring at me previously at school for someone and now i'm beginning to really like him. we don't properly speak at school but now and then we exchange looks. i recently went to this event my friends organised and some of his friends were there, my friends managed to drag out that i had a crush on him and now the guys know. the guy i like will eventually find out but i'm scared that he won't like me back, what should i do? i've never really had a proper boyfriend and i'm 16, what should i do?

It's not a problem that you never had a relationship before. There's a first time for everything. If you're sure he'll fins out from his friends try be prepared for both answers. But i'd say why just sit and wait? Why don't you try get closer to him? When you seem him you could smile at him and after that start talking to him. At first it could be just a "hi! how are you?" sentence and then see how he reacts.
But honestly even if he doesn't like you back, it's not the end of the world. Keep in mind that in every relationship the most important thing is what you will feel not what others will think. It's better to feel you tried than wonder what would have been if...

Well first of all you're going to have to get to know him.
Instead of just exchanging looks, why not say hello to him as well? Stop to talk to him, ask him how he is and so and so forth. If you get to the point where you're pretty much friends, ask him if he wants to go and see a movie or go bowling.
If he does bring up your crush on him (if his friends have told him), you have two options. If you don't feel comfortable enough to tell him your feelings just yet, laugh it off and say that it was all a joke. If you do feel comfortable enough to tell him, tell him! If he doesn't like you, then it's his loss, not yours.
There might very well be a guy at school who likes you, you just need to open your eyes.
Don't worry about not having had a proper boyfriend yet, there are plenty of girls your age who haven't had a proper boyfriend yet, so don't worry! When it comes to the time that you find someone amazing, just relax. Anyway, you have your whole life ahead of you to find the guy of your dreams, so bear that in mind!

Don't just date him because you like the look of him; you've not even spoken to him.
Why not try speaking with him and get to know him before dating. Trust me you will thank me in the long run.
We all have crushes on people but most of the time the fantasy is better than the reality of it all.
Talking is the key and don't give it up so easily if he respects you he will wait;the mark of a real man.

Well this is life, you're not the first and won't be the last to be in this pickle...so it might be a bit embarassing if he finds out..I know you'll wish the ground 'd open up and swallow you...been there felt like that...it's not life threatening. if he's been staring maybe it'll give him the incentive to talk to you, cos i think he must want to. Try and relax. If he likes you back and find out you like him, he'll feel more comfortable to talk to you than before. The worst thing that will happen is he wont like you. Sure it'll hurt but you'll get through it, and eventually, not to long from now, you'll find someone else you like, and eventually one of them will like you back. If someone doesn't like you, they're not worth your time n e ways.

if you really like this guy and get nervous when about to talk to him ask your mates to find out his e mail (becuase they already know) and start talking to him via the internet. if your getting on well and like his personality tell him what school you go to knowing that he goes to the same school and meet up after school this way you know what hes like and dont have to have the arkward face to face questions what dont always go too well

Next time you see him, smile and say hello. If he ignores you or doesn't say hello back, he probably isn't interested. If he does say hello, the next time you see him , say hello again, you may be able to add a sentence like "Isn't it cold today" or something like that. If he does like you pretty soon you should be chatting, see how it goes.
