well my work mates were trying to set me and this guy up and at the time i was embarassed so i told his friend i wasnt interested, so the guy started to talk to me less. But i am really interested now i don't know what to do Help!

Think about the present and start from there. Does the guy you talk about find himself a girlfriend or hi is still single? Cos if so, there are chances for you to start a friendship. Talk to him even if it will be something very difficult to do and try to make this step alone, without someones help. You see, he also knew about what your friends actually wanted ( to meet each other- you and this guy you like). So, it will be easier to open the subject. Don't worry if you will be embarrassed again (its natural). Just let him know that you have a shy character, quite probably he is also like you....
And....why to look eager? It's about a friendship.....
Sometimes we lose some great occasions in our life's without having the opportunity to even dream for a second chance. If it's important for you, go for it....
