hmmmm, try and convince him to get a pair of white class A's. Someone I knew actually did that for his wedding. Otherwise I would just say stay with white, I mean what are you gonna do? get a green wedding dress?

Different nomenclature for different armies: is this what he would wear to a Commanding Officer's Parade? In that case and assuming the wedding is before 4:00, silk afternoon "tea" dress with pearls and high heels, wrist-length gloves if you want. After 6:00, cocktail-length formal dress, no gloves, you may though wear one of those cute little formal hats. Or, is this what he would wear to a mess dinner? If so, and assuming the wedding is after 6:00, then you should wear full-length evening dress, and you can even wear elbow-length gloves. Here's a hint. Imagine the last time you saw a very senior officer (like, maybe a former commander-in -chief) wearing that uniform -- what was his spouse wearing? Follow her example.

wear whatever colour you feel flatters your colouring the most;
white; ivory; rich cream; gold; caramel; latte; - if you want to stay sort of neutral
if not - then something dramatic- red/burgundy
there are many shades of whites & creams so try different things
maybe take a part of his uniform with you when looking at gowns to see how the colour blends with/compliments what you choose .
also look at gowns in all sorts of stores - NOT just bridal stores
you can often find things in other stores that are very suitable for a fantastic wedding dress
after all what you wear is only a wedding dress because that is what you have chosen for the occassion

You shouldn't be looking for something to match, but something that goes with the green uniform...white goes with anything and looks great next to any uniform (army green, navy blue etc)...the thing you might want to stay away from is all the ornate beading and embroidery on the dress...too much will overpower you both.

I think that a white dress would look fine....what would be REALLY cool in my opinoin.... you should somehow bring the Army colors into your bouquet. Like a red white and blue bouquet with a camo ribbon tied around it, or something along those lines! I know someone that did that, and it looked gorgeous!
Good Luck!

Ivory would look best, but there's nothing wrong with going for a pale green color to compliment his uniform. Ask some other Army wives what they wore. Maybe they'll show you their photos.

Congrats on the impending nuptials - have you thought about trying to get him into a pair of dress blues, it would look pretty spiffy in the wedding pictures or even when you go to pick out your dress they have lots of styles with colrful sashes you could get a dark Army green or even get his branch color as a sash on a white dress (lt. blue for infantry, green for mp's, red for artillery) you get the picture - anyway e-mail me when you figure it out

Men want their woman to be married in white. O! They say they don't care, wear what ever you want, any color you want. But... a man wants his sweetheart in white.
Wear white. Its traditional and I have never seen a bride look bad in that color. On the other hand.... I have seen brides who have not worn white and.... they didn't look so good.
Besides... its not the dress that makes you look pretty silly..... its you that makes the dress! :)
Congratulations to both of you

White or Off White will work and he has to wear a white shirt and bow tie with his uniform. Tell him to get one and ask his NCO about helping him put it all together so it looks nice and is correct.
