Depending on what you like, I eat a teaspoon of peanut butter and a banana for breakfast. You can try a hard boiled egg and an apple. I suggest a small portion of protein along with fruit of some sort. Try to stay away from cereals because they are usually high in carbohydrates and in no time you are hungry again. You could also try a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and a 1/2 peach. Or a cup of yogurt and a protein bar. I have a protein bar at least once a week for breakfast.

Any cereal with the whole "bean" so to speak - often have the Heart Healthy symbol on it. Whole wheat Wheaties is an example. With milk and sugar and fresh fruit on it. Also, glass of orange juice and, if you wish, whole wheat toast or sour dough - I always splurge on bread. Must be fresh baked the day before. Also, in cold weather, any of the hot cereals such as Oatmeal, Wheatina, etc. Again, put fresh fruit on it.
Twice a week I eat scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit slices (melons, banana slices, orange slices, etc) and two pancakes drowning in butter w/syrup. Coffee with each breakfast.
Gotta go to breakfast now.

It isn't what you eat..it is that you DO eat and break your fast from sleeping..to wake up your brain and get your muscles moving again. Most people find their mornings are hurried and so rushed that they forget to add fuel to their bodies before they hit the pavement running. I try for a glass of orange juice before that first cigarette. If I can sit down for 15 minutes, I get a bowl of Cheerio's, 2% milk, a toasted bagel (if I have any) and later run out the door with an apple in hand or half a banana.

Oatmeal (poridge) is the most nutritious breakfast you can have. It is good to lower your cholesterol. It has very little fat. It has protein in it. Drink a glass of lowfat milk and eat a banana along with your oatmeal and it will be a well balanced and nutritous meal. Good Luck and enjoy breakfast! :-)

Here is a healthy *sample* menu

Breakfast:
1/2 cup oatmeal
8oz lowfat milk
one banana

Snack:
8oz lowfat yogurt

Lunch:
tuna sandwich(made with lowfat mayonaise)
8oz Veggie juice

Snack:
1 apple
1 oz cheese or(1/4 cup cottage cheese)

Dinner:
4oz chicken breast (boneless/skinless)
1/4 cup brown or wild rice
1 cup of broccoli/cauliflower mix

Snack:
2 cups of hot air pop-corn with no butter
or 20 pretzel sticks
or one cup of cantaloupe

Well......Actually it depends on your morning schedule...if u work out for an hour daily then it may be changed.

My option is every day we should take different variety. More or less it should contain...one glass of Fruit or veg juice, Sprouts, and one or two slices of toast and or Corn flakes with Toned milk. Some coloured fruit salads will be an added advantage.

old fashioned oatmeal, if you don't much care for the taste, you can add a little bit of pure maple syrup. the single packets of the flavored stuff is nothing but pure sugar.

poached or boiled egg.

orange juice. but not one made from concentrate, never want to have a juice made from concentrate or that is labeled a "cocktail".

eating this sort of thing in the morning is good because it has fat, carbs, and protein.
