Hello. It sounds like Mandy is wanting attention for some reason or other. What needs to happen is your company when they come in the door should not look at Mandy, touch her, or talk to her, here's why. Mandy is in an excitable state of mind when the visitor comes in, this is not good. Mandy needs to learn that being calm/submissive will get her a pet. Here's how to do this...
When you have a visitor come, and you can practice this, have Mandy on the leash when then come in, you should have her sitting quietly, (again you may have to practice this if she does not already sit quietly). You are Mandy's pack leader and the activity she is displaying, is unacceptable. When she is sitting quietly, that is the frame of mind/activity you want to reward, not chasing her around or yelling, or talking to her when she has a stuffed toy trying to give it to the visitor. If Mandy has always been allowed to do this activity, then alot of commitment on your part is going to be needed to correct this. Trust me it can be done, and you must be calm/assertive at all times. Mandy, like all dogs needs to be told what to do, if not, then dogs will carry on with activities such as this.
You may also want to take Mandy for a 20-30 minute walk if you know someone is going to come visit. This way some of her energy will have been used up during her walk.
Oh, and don't remove Mandy from the situation, this is something you want to correct. If you take her from the situation, she will not learn anything this way.

I think it's excellent that your dog wants your friends to be her friends, too. Mandy is family, the least the visitor can do is speak to her, take the toy and pat her head.

My dog does this sometimes. My American Eskimo has quite the mouth on her when someone comes to the door, but many times, she grabs one of the kids stuffed animals and just holds it in her mouth. It's almost like she knows she can barely contain her excitement and holding the toy prevents her urge to bark or want to jump up. She actually tends to do this often at nite time when our children are sleeping, like she's trying not to wake them up.

My little beast brings me something every time I walk in the door from work or shopping. But she's not that way with visitors. It's like "I've been alone all day, play with me now." And of course I do....
