Sefton was one of the horses that survived the IRA car and nail bomb in Hyde Park in July 1982. Four men and seven horses from the Household Cavalry, Blues and Royals, were killed in the blast.

The last surviving horse, Yeti, died in 2004 at the grand old age of 36.

It wasn't shot, it was caught in a bomb blast.
