A denomination is something that comes from another. For example a dime is a denomination of a dollar. If a person leaves a church because they disagree with the teachings they are a denomination of that church no matter what they call themselves and if the church is founded by someone who has never had any association with anther church and has only known the Bible as a source of God they are then Nondenominational, but are also non biblical.

In the Bible, a preacher is supposed to be a member of a church who is ordained by the preacher and then Goes out and starts his own church. One must be ordained by the ordained to be the leader of a biblical church. If the preacher is not ordained what he is leading is not a biblical church.

If you put the two of these Truths together. You can not possibly have an actual nondenominational biblical church.

Hope I helped.

God Bless

I guess that's a tough line to define, especially when many non-denominational churches have large conferences in which the rules are made and carried out. For instance, many "Churches of God" have ministers taught their specific doctrines at a specific college and they stay in constant checks and balances with each other. I have attended some churches that are strictly on their own, but because most churches cannot survive and thrive that way, that is a rarity today.

No. Denominations have a central govt of sorts for churches kind of like a franchise like arbys. Once that central govt makes a rulings on things like abortion, contraception, or alcohol, it is the duty of all the churches beneath it to conform to their ruling in the matter.

I am a member of Church of Christ and we have o such central govt. We allow Jesus and the authority of Scripture only to be our guide. There is no central govt needed to tell us what to believe because we can already know from the Holy Spirit. In that way, non-denominational churches are nothing like denominations. In our case we are a just a simple fellowship of churches; an organization.

Nondenominational does't mean independant. U can be a non-denominational church, BUT still believe in things like baptism of the Holy Spirit. And U still remain in under one branch - CHRISTIANITY. I know Full Gospel Nondenominational Christian Churches, some of them r simply Independant.

Yeah. I think so. It's like the "which way do I go?" denomination.

No, we appeal to unity under Christ and the Bible only. This has been our plea for more than 200yrs. Being human, however, we have had two splits, 1906 and 1968.

Nondenominational signifies welcoming people of any faith, or denomination. It is a collection, not a sect.

I suppose for the sheer sake of argument that everything must be classified or put into a box of some sort, it could be considered such.
