Relationship lasted 7 yrs. It has been over for nearly 8 months now. I have moved on, moved into my own apartment..I do not talk to anyone in his family, all ties have been cut off as for as I am concern..But my ex mother seems to come on my job when I am not there to say negative things to my co-workers about me..I don't understand why she feels the need to discuss her sorry son to my co-workers,and bad mouth me to them. Seriously...someone explain this one to me

Some mothers tend to baby their sons until they're old and gray. No use scratching your head over this one! Everyone is bound to see how crazy she is if she's going around your workplace just to bad-mouth you. People will soon wonder if she doesn't have anything better to do than go out and spread vicious gossip about someone their son was involved with 8 months ago. So don't stress, those types of people tend to weave their own web and get tangled in it all on their own.

It is not unnatural for mothers-in-law to harass the wife or the husband, as the case may be, after divorce. It happened to me personally. The reason could be that she wants everyone to think that the fault was not her son's by yours. It could be anything. But, you have the right to your privacy and protection for the snake. Don't talk to her, go to the Police, logde a complaint and ask that she be stopped. That should work.

By degrading you she doesn't have to admit to herself, or anyone else, that the problems with her little boy might just have something to do with her apron strings. It must be you because it couldn't be anything "Her" sonny boy did. She might be blamed for her own inadequacies. Ignore her and him. Just don't lower yourself to there level. Besides, if your coworkers believe any of the bull then they aren't what you want to call your friends anyway. Good luck and hang tough!

There should be no doubt in your coworker's minds as to why this woman is nuts and why you don't want anything to do with her. Make her the work place joke, you'll be laughing all day.

It sounds like her son is hurt by your breakup and is having a hard time getting over you. Most generally people talk crap about other people because they are hurt.

She sounds crazy and revengeful. I would go to the police. There are laws against this type of harassment-esp. at work. Be strong!!!

She's a first class nutter. Either ignore her or play her back at her own game. Phone the local paper's obituaries desk and tell them she's dead.
