Yes I believe that gluttony is a evilspirit. Anything that keeps you in bondage whether it is smoking, alcohol, overeating etc...we need deliverance.

I had gastric bypass surgery. My situation was one that was not only physical in nature but emotionally or mentally based as well. However, you can be assured that now I sure do not have a problem with gluttony...I can only take in 3 ounces at a time. However, I am a Christian and I think anything in excess is bad and I do not believe in the Catholic doctrine of 7 deadly sins.

When you say 'delivered from gluttony' you are implying that a Christian is oppressed by a spirit of gluttony. I have not heard of any such case. For most Christains this is not a spiritual issue but a matter of exercising self control over how much they eat..

That is the sin I have the most trouble with. I don't think it causes me to much trouble since I am in top physical condition. Today I ran 2 miles to the gym in about 14 minutes and did a 20 minute ab workout. I have conquered it for a season. what I did was measured success with hunger pains, after about a month it takes less and less eating to to cause huger pains, and you find yourself in a contentedness in eating 3 balanced meals a day.

I think that this is something that you need to do for your self.

There are limits to what God is willing to micro manage for you. At some point it starts to conflict with free will.
