"By whom" was a very good response. But God will forgive anything if you repent. There is scripture saying the only unforgivable sin is calling the Holy Spirit evil, but consider this: Paul persecuted and hated Christians but he turned around and became the most influential Christian of the first century. What I think that scripture meant though is if you are aware of the Holy Spirit, and knowingly and purposefully reject it, you'll be condemned in the afterlife. So is disbelieving in God an unforgivable sin on death? Well, I believe God will judge accordingly, and notice John 9:41:
Jesus said, "If you were blind [from the truth], you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim to see, your guilt remains."
I don't think this means every atheist gets into heaven because of ignorance, but I think this largely applies to people who never truly got a chance to hear about Christ, or didn't have the capacity to accept Christ (such as children and civilizations like the Mayans perhaps who never knew of Christ). But only God has the power to judge sin, and apparently only he has the power to ultimately forgive you of sin.

God only loves. Nothing is unforgivable because there is nothing to forgive. The idea that God would judge or punish anyone is a lie that religion tells about God.

Why would it be unforgivable? It depends on the individual you asking and I'm saying it's not unforgivable.

It depends whose forgiveness.
For some people it is certainly unforgivable, but then their forgiveness is not something worth having, and in any case on any real level they have nothing to forgive.
As for God's forgiveness, it is impossible for an imaginary Super-Being to forgive, just as it is impossible for it to punish, to reward, to answer prayers or to speak to George Bush.

NO, for the simple reason that it goes against the only thing that makes us worthy of being different from animals, plants and other objects. We humans have the right to do right or wrong, as all other creatures worship God in one way or another, as a matter of nature, not choice. If, by abusing our right of choice, we decide to go against the deeply-rooted notion of God's sacredness, then we forego the right to be treated as humans and will be disposed of in eternal fire.

If its unforgivable, your God is simply petty and full of insecurities that can't tolerate people with different opinions

Being without Chirst is unforgivable. God can forgive our sins through Jesus. Outside of Jesus, no.

Are we talking about someone who goes to the grave an atheist or someone who is living? Atheists can be converted quite easily. I used to be an atheist in fact. I find many atheists are very passionate about issues and once they come to the realization that God exists, they become passionate for God.
If the Q is; is God going to forgive atheists after they die then the answer is no.
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. -Matthew 10:32

As God mentions in His last book, what is unforgivable...is knowing that there is a Creator...but worshipping an idol instead or worshipping an idol as a side to God.
Atheism...is rejection of faith..but it rejects any faith..
so I doubt it is as bad as a man who knows theres God but refuses to worship Him alone.
As it is mentioned in any ol dictionary, an idol is a representative image of something...and Christians use Jesus to represent God.
Which in turn is serious blasphemy.
Christians do that tho. Which is a very sensitive subject...but they know theres God and they chose to worship a human in His stead. or as God Himself.
