I'm in NZ, a non-Aussie though, but I have heaps of colleagues from Oz. I was curious why they came to NZ, because my impression is that Australia pays better and is warmer. They all said they came because of the Kiwi-mentality, which seems to be more gentle and just nice than Australia's. I find that hard to imagine, as my Aussie colleagues are about the nicest people I've ever met. But then, I've never been to Australia, and they tell me it can have a harsh side which NZ supposedly lacks entirely. Also, all of those people are Euro-philes. They love going to Europe and enjoying sophisticated things; from what they are telling me, NZ feels more European than Australia, which has a comparatively "American" feel to it as they say. I know Europe and the Americas well, and I can attest to the fact that NZ feels very... French, somehow. And Welsh, too.

Not yet. But if I get into Uni there next year, yes I will move there. Why? Because it's unbelievably cheap. I've been wondering why though.... :\ lol. No really, it sounds peaceful and I know some NZ people that are amazing. If only the NZ Government lifted it's standards, it would be more attractive for people in Australia to move there... maybe. *pokes tongue out*.

Generally it is the other way around. Australia has more opportunities and is more cosmopolitan.
