and by that token my dear boy is what seperates your from those that cannot see past their own opinions/beliefs. To defend someone's right and opinion regardless of personal stance is an admirable quality that is lost on many these days.

Perhaps because you also believe that your own rights to be an atheist are ultimately linked to the rights of someone to hold religious views.

This doesn't necessarily mean that you won't argue the religious point of view, but rather that you'll defend a religious person's right to argue their own point of view.

However, those on this board who doubt your atheism are pushing the envelope and are not making it any easier to defend them. Nonetheless, the only rights that matter are those needed by the minority. The majority will always ensure their own rights.

Because you stick with the R&S section?

Because you believe that religion is the opiate of the masses and that it is what keeps the poor from eating the rich?

Because you are open minded and realize that everyone has a right to believe as they wish?

It's a way of saying that God wants you to stop being atheist! In anyways, religion is of no importance...having a relationship with God is what matters!

why do you need to defend it? it's hopeless, i very rarely answer religious questions. I'm done defending Christianity. everyone has their own opinions, no one is going to budge on them so what is the point?

That even the atheist believes in equality with others even if he does not agree with their opinions or views.

giving basic rights (including religios ones) is important for me too. It is the value of freedom, maybe freedom to be who and what one wants, chosses that you respect.
How is this for you?

it has to do with the fact that no matter how we try to deny it the truth will always win out and the truth is within.
