I always tell my friends that if they want to bring their boyfriends while we hangin out, I"ll say "Just Bring 'em, don't worry coz i won't be attracted to him or any other guys!" Is something wrong with me, or is it just my hormones? But i'm easily attracted to men in their business suits with the virile looks...I'm 16 and never go out with anyone, i don't want to go for any socials, meeting any guys...i kept refusing to go out with someone, because i think we'll just playing around, having fun... without the intention of being serious, well...of coursez coz i'm still young and there're still a whole lot of things waiting in the future for me!
For example, i'm attracted to Jeff Corwin and am a fan of him...instead of fancying Jesse Mcartney (like my friends).
Most of my friends told me i'm a disgusting and bizarre person coz i'm just not attracted to young guys, to ignore is the best thing to do!
Hahaha...whatever it is, i think it'll go away and be more serious with my school...

I always liked "grown men" over boys. At age 15 I was dating a 23 yr man, and lied about my age. I did tell him that "sex' was out of the picture until we were married. So that really narrowed the field. I lied to my folks and said he was 18....scandelous huh! Ha ha.

I was always crazy for manly-Sean Connery, Tom Selleck, Pierce Bronson, Robin Williams too and not Brad Pitt or cute boyish looking guys. Mustaches and deep voices always got me in trouble- I love deep voices! I like big men as well, mine is 6'3" and I'm 5'1". So that's me... I needed a strong man, since I'm a former farm girl and athlete, he needed to keep up with me. He is "brawny man" looking, thick chest hair and all that manly stuff.

Yet you need to wait a few years, those older guys can be really be "predators" for young woman. You "don't know" what you "don't know" yet.

Be wise. Older does not mean more mature or experienced.

Okay here's a reality check for you. You will be an adult much longer than a teenager. So please go out and have fun with other teens. No matter what you may think their agenda maybe. It doesn't matter, you have one as well. Its to have fun, and try out all those flirty ways and help train those boys to be gentlemen.
In about 5+ years or after college, then consider dating to mate! Enjoy this time! Dating is fun, so take a chance and have fun.

Like YOU- I was serious about my studies. I dated all different types of men to experience life [races, cultures, social classes]. I knew in my heart the "mate" that I wanted and let the guys know, its just dating. As a modern woman, sometimes more in a very protected way.

I would have never dated my husband in highschool, he was too imature and skinny boy (smaller clothes than me in highschool) for my taste. Yet, the girl that "did" taught him so much about being a good, polite man. I am thankful for her strength and wisedom at such a young age. [yes sex is always on their mind-no matter their age]

Be focused on your future and studies. Get a firm foundation under you before you become married and have kids. Trust me. You will need every ounce of life experience when you become both.

Girl, you are beyond all right. You're perfect. Who would want a boy over a man? Anyway, Jeff Corwin is a good choice. The man is a scientist, a producer, a host, an emmy winner ...good taste. I can relate. Just remember, wait till your legally old enuf to date them, and just have fun being single right now. Don't worry, you'll do just fine and your friends will see your point of view real soon. Girl, go on with your rockin' self! :)

Even though you are young its OK to be attracted to older men. It may be the fact that they have their life together, or that they are mature enough to have respect for women that attracts you. I'm guessing that you are pretty mature for your age, otherwise you might not feel this way. But you have to remember that it can be dangerous going after an older man, even illegal at your age. There are some younger guys out there that are mature enough to handle a real relationship without trying to get one thing... I managed to find myself one when I was 17. Just be patient and don't let anyone make you believe that your crazy for wanting something better. But be careful!

I'm a 16 yr old female and am not attarcted to teenage guys .. hardly any anyway. I don't know why. Maybe because of their immaturity? Their desire of fun and fun only? I think older guys (not 50 yr olds!) are more mature and know what they want in life, and have their priorities sorted.

Just my opinion and some reassurance that you're not alone! :)

HA..girl I'm the same way..don't worry, when your 25 you'll be married to a mature rich doctor and your friends will still be dating the same losers...it's probably because you are more mature than them...(but you can still have fun with the boys your age now.)

Naturally mature men are more attractive. I am a man, and I think Sean Connery is damn attractive.

Sounds normal, my little sisters friends are the same way with me and my older brothers. I think it is natural for some girls to find older men attractive, my ex was eighteen when we met and I was eight years older than her at the time so your def. not alone.
