Cocaine is a powerful stimulant, which does not last that long. There are no long-term effects. The most dangerous aspects of cocaine are --

I started snorting cocaine, then the bloody noses started and the clogged nose. So I could no longer snort it. So I decided that I , would start smoking it. I smoked for over 10 years. I lost everything I had. I turned into a horrible monster. Stealing, assaulting etc to get money for crack. Things I never would have done if I did not smoke it. It ruined my life as I could not put the pipe down. I saw friends have heart attacks, strokes, stabbings over 20 dollars of crack. I became very skinny and lived at night and soley lived for the drug. It took over my life. I finally went and got help after I was released from jail, I was homeless and had no family to rely on. I went to detox, then a 30 day program, then to a 6 month half way home and to finish it up I lived in a sober home for 2 and 1/2 years. It destroyed my mind. I had to get psyciactric help for the paranoia and depressed thoughts. I made it through and will never touch that drug again. Sorry but the truth is it will take your heart, soul and everthing you have ever worked for. But you can change all that. Step up and admit you have a problem. That is the first and most important step. Good luck to all that suffer Sappett

Cocaine is a complicated drug. First of all, it is both an upper and a downer in combination. This is one of the reasons why we are unable to find an antidote for cocaine overdoses.
Crack, as you know, is the concentrated 'cleaner' form of cocaine. When I say 'cleaner form' don't take it literally. Crack cocaine can be 'based' with almost anything. Most of those things are dirty. Examples are poisons in powder form like pesticides, oils that are used for fuel such as kerosene, components of gasoline.
Everytime you take a 'hit' and inhale the smoke, you scar your heart. You also raise your blood pressure and heart rate. When you smoke crack, it goes directly into your spinal fluid or your central nervous system. And like I said in the beginning of this answer, it is both an upper and a downer. This may cause your central nervous system to 'freeze' and not know what signal to send. The first thing that would be affected in this case would be your breathing. It would stop. Your heart would be next and it would 'lock' or the heart muscle itself would cramp up like an over worked muscle of any kind.
Cocaine is one of the only drugs that has a chemical in it that actually replaces chemicals in your brain. The chemicals it replaces are normal brain chemicals and the chemicals it replaces them with are chemicals that make your body actually 'need' more.
This is why you notice your personality changing. The chemicals that make you the person that you are personality wise are being replaced.
Everyone thinks that the devil is black. Beware, the devil comes in many disguises. In cocaine, HE IS WHITE. Kind of ironic huh?
The long term effects are definetely a personality disorder of some kind. This is called a drug induced psychosis. Scarring of the heart tissue is another.
Hope you find the strength and the will to stop using this horrible drug. It will destroy your life and everything and everyone in it including yourself.

I can't answer your question fully because I have never used that drug thing or crack you are referring to. But it is a widespread
knowledge that using drugs frequently result to the deterioration
of the body... and the mind is affected, changes in behavior and personality. It is harming the life of a drug user.

Definitely this is a result of using crack also usual risks associated with cocaine use (constricted blood vessels; increased temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure; and risk of cardiac arrest and seizure), crack users may experience acute respiratory problems, including coughing, shortness of breath, and lung trauma and bleeding. Crack cocaine smoking also can cause aggressive and paranoid behavior.
Please get help and begin a new life, and if u ever decide to have children and are on this junk they will be born addicted"crack baby" and beleive me this in not a pretty site!
Good luck my friend
