Please do try to relax and think of pleasant things, though the world around us is not at all pleasant. Breath in and out gently .Fill up your lungs with lots of fresh morning air . Tighten your fists and let them go - gently . Do the same to your tummy amd feet. You must eat food that contains iron, especially if you are a girl - an apple , lots of milk, plenty of water in between . You could take up a hobby ( painting, music, gardening - whatever ) that you enjoy, gives you happiness / contentment and just you see how your memory improves - no more forgetful - ness!!!!! I had a similar problem and I do get it once in a while - and the only solution I could dream of ,without resorting to addictive medicines is what I have written above, just for you.

You might not necessarily be lacking anything from your diet. Don't think me rude but how old are you? Sometimes age plays a factor for the reason that we forgot things, believe me I'm in my 20's and I am always forgetting things.
However they do say that eating oily fish (such as mackerel) is suppose to help

Exercise. The more you exercise the more blood flows to the brain, the more oxygen the brain gets. When I was in my first year of college I did not exercise, my grades were so so. maybe a c or c+ at best. The next year I started working out and my grades improved to a A-. I started to notice that my head was clearer, I was more organized, I remembered more. I was on top of everything.

Glucose is supposed to be good for thinking. Foods like fruit, potatoes. Eat salads, lots of antioxidants and absolutely stay away from trans fats and saturated fats which are poison to your brain and body.
